I’m Josh Holderness — a nutritionist and personal trainer with over 15 years of experience in the health and fitness industry, currently completing a Master of Osteopathic Medicine after graduating with a Bachelor of Clinical Sciences (Osteopathy).I’ve worked with 500+ clients, including youth, older adults, general population clients, and both amateur and professional athletes across a range of sports. My work focuses on helping people improve performance, manage pain, and achieve sustainable health outcomes. My coaching is highly individualised and focused on education as much as outcomes. I help clients understand how and why their training and nutrition are structured, because long-term results are far more likely when people understand the process. I encourage questions at any time and see coaching as a collaborative process.I also come from a strong performance background in bodybuilding, with achievements including:- 1st place 2015 IFBB Amateur Olympia National Champion (Mr Australia)
- 1st place 2015 IFBB Queensland State Champion
- 1st place 2013 NABBA Queensland State ChampionAlongside coaching, I have owned, operated, and managed an Australian supplement company, including franchised retail stores.

My approach to exercise is built around structured, purposeful training.Programs are designed to improve strength, movement quality, and performance while respecting individual capacity and recovery. Progression is planned logically over time, whether the goal is fat loss, muscle gain, athletic development, or general health.

I work with clients to develop practical, personalised nutrition strategies that align with their training demands, lifestyle, and individual goals. This may include calorie and macro-based approaches, flexible meal structures, or simpler serving-based frameworks where appropriate. The focus is on clarity and consistency — helping clients fuel their bodies effectively while maintaining a sustainable, balanced relationship with food, without unnecessary restriction or extremes.
Injury management and rehabilitation are integrated into coaching where required.Rather than avoiding movement altogether, I focus on intelligent training around injury, supporting clients through pain, limitations, and return-to-training phases in a structured and progressive way.A key part of this process is helping clients develop a healthier relationship with pain and movement, reducing fear, building confidence, and maintaining physical capacity throughout rehabilitation and beyond.
